How a night works

  1. 1:00am

    Every price checked

Coles, Woolworths and ALDI, side by side, and each price keeps the minute it was read.

  2. 7:30am

    Your morning roundup

One notification, only on days something you watch changed. Nothing changed, no ping.

  3. 9:15am

    At the shelf

Your list, priced at all three, with a verdict on what to buy now and what can wait.

What it does

Five jobs, done quietly. The screens below are rebuilt from the app. The prices on them are examples.

Three supermarkets. Every price, every night.

Search Coles, Woolworths and ALDI in one place. Every price carries its store and the time it was checked, so you can see the cheapest at a glance and know how fresh it is.

A morning roundup, only when it’s worth one.

Tap ♡ on the things you buy. When any of them go on special overnight, one notification turns up around 7:30. Star the ones you care about most and they get a ping of their own.

Buy now, or wait?

Savvi looks at how often each thing goes on special and how low it gets. Usually ½ price every six weeks? Skip the full-price box. It only calls it once there’s enough history, and it always shows what it’s based on.

Split the shop only when it’s worth the trip.

Your list is priced at all three supermarkets. A second stop is only suggested when the saving clears your own worth-a-trip amount. Otherwise it’s one shop, and that’s the answer.

Recipes, pantry and the week’s meals.

Save recipes, plan the week, and tick off what’s already in the pantry. Whatever’s missing goes on the list, priced, with anything on special flagged.

Three rules it doesn’t bend.

  1. Every price shows when it was checked.

Read overnight, stamped to the minute. Your store can differ from the website, so check at the shelf.

    checked 1:42 am

  2. No promised savings.

No “save $20 a week”. A saving is measured against the regular price Savvi saw, never a store’s was-price. Too little history? It says so.

Tracked since 21 Oct · too new to judge

  3. Not affiliated with Coles, Woolworths or ALDI.

Savvi doesn’t sell groceries, and no store pays to be shown. Intelligence, not a store.

Questions

When can I get it?

Savvi is in testing on iPhone now. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when it’s on the App Store.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iPhone comes first, and Android is on the list for later.

Where do the prices come from?

Every night Savvi reads the public product pages on the Coles, Woolworths and ALDI websites, and keeps each price with the time it was checked. Every price in the app shows when it was checked.

Will the price be the same in my store?

Often, but not always. Your local store can differ from the website, and prices can change during the day. Check at the shelf before you buy.

How much will I save?

It depends on what you buy, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Savvi tells you when the things you buy are on special and how often they usually are, so you can time your shop. Any saving it shows is measured against the regular shelf price Savvi saw.

Is Savvi part of Coles, Woolworths or ALDI?

No. Savvi isn’t affiliated with Coles, Woolworths or ALDI. We don’t sell groceries either.

What’s free, and what’s in Plus?

Free lets you browse prices at all three supermarkets and watch up to 5 items, with a Wednesday roundup. Savvi Plus is $2.99 a month for you, or $4.99 a month for your household. It unlocks unlimited watches, a morning roundup any day something changes, full price history, and hints on your lists. The first month is free.

How does the Household plan work?

One person subscribes for $4.99 a month and invites the household with a code. Everyone who joins gets Plus and shares the shopping lists. Watchlists and alerts stay personal.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions go through Apple, so you cancel in iOS Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free month ends and you won’t be charged.

What do you do with my data?

Only what’s needed to run Savvi. We don’t sell it, and there are no third-party ad trackers. Our servers are in Sydney.
